As a designer, I don’t just make shirts; I make “uniforms” for the generation that survived the 70s and 80s without a GPS or a cell phone. Being a Gen X designer means knowing that sarcasm is our second language and comfort is our top priority.
It is funny how a “badge of honor” for one person can feel like a “dig” to another. While we see these shirts as a fun way to celebrate our childhood, younger people sometimes read between the lines differently.
